How much bunting should I buy? Where can I rent bunting? We are delighted to answer your questions, please contact us if you need more help.
Our standard bunting uses four flags per metre of bunting, each approx. 9″ x 7″ (22 x 17cm) and mini Buntings have more flags per metre, each approx 6″ x 5″ (14 x 12 cm). We can, however, make bunting in many different sizes to suit you, just ask.
Can I rent your bunting?
Our bunting is made for sale as we find customers love to keep their bunting for future occasions and as a wonderful memento.
If you prefer to rent, and if you want something special, we may be able to make it for your hire company to hire to you, how’s that for co-operation!
How Much Bunting do I need?
Measuring what you need can be tricky. If you prefer to measure in feet and inches, use an easy online conversion guide.
Converting Feet into Metres: try Distance and Length Conversion
If you want to drape bunting diagonally across a hall or marquee you can work out the length using Pythagoras’ Theorem:
- Measure the length and width of the marquee.
- Square each number (ie multiply by itself) and add them together.
- Then find the square root of this number. This is the diagonal length across the marquee. Add allowances for extra height or swagging and you are there.
How much do I add for ‘swagging’?
You would be surprised how little extra length you need to allow for some swagging, so that the bunting hangs gently rather than taut. We find that allowing an extra 5% length is plenty (so if you need 20m straight length, order 21m and this will drape beautifully).
Do you sell plastic bunting?
We love the feel and look of fabric, and the fact it is so eco-friendly, not to mention the scrappy noise made by plastic bunting whilst our fabrics flutter gently. So no, we don’t sell plastic bunting and we think you should give us a try: our buntings are fairly priced and can be used time and again. Bunting made to treasure.
